Refunds & Class Action Claims · com.getbackpay.refunds
Last updated: 10 September 2026
Published by BoonWiz. This app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the FTC, any government agency, or any settlement administrator.
The short version
- There is no account. You never give us a name, an email or a password.
- Your eligibility answers never leave your device.
- The claims you track never leave your device.
- We never ask for a Social Security number, a bank account, or claim details — and we never will. No legitimate refund-discovery app needs them.
- We never charge to file, and we never file on your behalf.
What stays on your device
Held in your phone's app storage and never transmitted to us:
- Eligibility quiz answers. Every question you answer is processed on the device. We record only an anonymous "qualified / did not qualify" event with no answers attached.
- Your tracked claims. Which programs you saved, whether you marked them filed or paid, and any amount you entered.
- Your unlocks and credits. Which items you have opened, how many free unlocks you have left, and whether you bought Pro.
- Your preferences. State, the companies you selected, categories, and your notification settings.
Uninstalling the app deletes all of it. We hold no copy, so we cannot restore it and we cannot hand it to anyone.
That is enforced, not just intended: Android's automatic backup is switched off for this app, so none of it is copied to your Google Drive or carried across when you set up a new phone. The trade-off is real — changing phones means starting your tracker again — and it follows from not having accounts.
What leaves your device
Anonymous analytics (Firebase Analytics). Which screens you open, whether you unlocked an item, whether an eligibility check came out positive, and whether you tapped through to an official site. Attached to a random, resettable identifier — not to you. We use this to tell whether the app is useful: if people unlock items but never file, the product is failing them and we need to know.
Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics). Stack traces, device model, OS version. No claim data.
Notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging). Required to deliver alerts. Alerts are targeted using *topics*, not profiles: your device subscribes to topics such as state_CA or co_amazon, and we publish to a topic name. Our servers never learn which state or which companies belong to which device.
Advertising (Google AdMob, with Unity Ads). Ads are how the app stays free. Depending on your consent choices, ad requests may include an advertising identifier and coarse location. You choose this in the consent form shown on first launch, and you can change it any time in Settings.
AdMob runs an auction for each ad slot, and Unity Ads bids in it. When Unity wins, it receives the same request data AdMob would have — and the same consent choice you made, which is passed to it rather than assumed. It is listed as an ad partner in the consent form, so declining there applies to Unity too.
Problem reports. If you use the flag button on a card, we receive which card you flagged, what was wrong, your optional note, and the app version. Do not put personal details in the note — we ask you not to, and we do not want them.
Purchases. Handled entirely by Google Play or the App Store. We never see your payment details.
What we never collect
Social Security numbers, government identifiers, bank or card details, claim form contents, your name, your address, your email, your phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or files.
Where filing happens
Every claim link in the app goes to a government agency or a court-appointed settlement administrator, opened in your own browser. We never collect claim information, never fill a form for you, and never take a cut.
Once you are on an official site, that organisation's privacy policy governs what happens next. We have no visibility into it and no relationship with them.
Advertising and your choices
We use Google AdMob, and Unity Ads bids for our ad slots through it. Before any ad request, we show Google's consent form (the UMP SDK), which covers GDPR, UK GDPR and US state privacy laws, and which lists every ad partner including Unity. On iOS we also show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt — after you have used the app, not before, so you can decide with some context.
- Personalised ads require your consent. Decline and you get non-personalised ads instead; the app works identically.
- Change your mind any time via Settings → Ad privacy options.
- Pro is a one-time purchase that removes every ad.

Children
This app is for adults handling their own consumer claims. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Retention
- On-device data: until you delete it or uninstall.
- Analytics and crash data: retained by Firebase per Google's schedule (14 months by default).
- Problem reports: kept until resolved, then for 12 months so we can spot a repeatedly wrong card.
Your rights
Because we hold no account, most requests are things you can do yourself instantly: clear your tracked claims in the app, reset your advertising identifier in system settings, or uninstall.
For anything else — including deletion of analytics data associated with your device — email boonyboonapp@gmail.com with your device's advertising identifier. Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, delete, correct or port your data, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond the ad-consent choices described above.
Changes
Material changes will be announced in-app before they take effect. The date at the top of this document always reflects the current version.
